Portrait of Martha Guzman, a marketing and communications strategist in the Los Angeles area

Martha Guzman is a communications and integrated marketing  strategist based in Southern California, with nearly 20 years of experience supporting arts, culture, and mission-driven organizations.

She has held in-house roles at leading institutions including The Broad, the Music Center’s Gloria Molina Grand Park, and the Museum of Latin American Art. Martha has shaped and guided communications strategies for museum exhibitions, performing arts programs, cultural festivals, and both large-scale and community-based events. She also brings experience building partnerships with community-based nonprofits and municipal agencies.

Martha currently serves on the  PBS SoCal Community Advisory Board, where she advises on programming and outreach to ensure the station reflects the voices and needs of Southern California communities.She is also a board member of the Friends of the Long Beach Public Library where she serves as the Chair of Marketing and Communications. Previously, she was part of an advisory committee for a statewide research initiative by The James Irvine Foundation that sought to help arts organizations deepen engagement with Latino audiences.

As the founder of Martha Guzman Communications she brings strategic insight, cultural fluency, and refined narrative expertise to mission-driven organizations by helping them develop communications strategies rooted in creativity, clarity, and community impact.

Martha holds a BA in journalism, an MA in English literature, and a certificate in nonprofit management. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and speaks conversational French.
